Ambra Pomarè’s silver shines on the snows of Pila. The Italian alpine ski championships in the Aspirants category are underway in the town overlooking Aosta and yesterday, in giant, the standard bearer of the Cortina Ski Club was splendid, winning second place in the race won by Beatrice Sola (Falconeri Ski Team) from thirty. Just 5 cents in the end separated Amber from the win. There were 4 cents that separated Pomarè and Sola at the end of the first heat and the gap remained essentially the same after the second. Great race (third time in the second heat) therefore, for Ambra who has always been at the top this season at the regional level and who at national level boasts, always in giant, the Italian Girls title, won at San Pellegrino in 2018. which is worth a lot, also because the girl from Cortina, followed by the club technicians Roberto Gillarduzzi and Pietro Fontana and by the committee technician Paolo Boldrini, is born in 2004, that is the first year in the Aspirants category. Sola is from 2003.
“For Ambra this season started with a one-month stop due to injury but then it was all a crescendo”, says Gillarduzzi, “Sunday (tomorrow, ed) there will be slalom and Ambra is more slalomist than gigantist… ».
Great race also that of Aurora Zavatarelli, but remained down from the podium for the trifle of 9 cents: the Venetian girl, standard bearer of the Ski College of Falcade, was second, ex aequo with Pomarè, at the end of the first heat and then slipped into fourth position (fourth time of heat). The medal was “stolen” by Carlotta De Leonardis (Sci club Sestola), author of an amazing second heat (best time) that allowed her to climb from sixth to third position. The male giant was won by Fabio Allasina (Ski College Limone) who preceded Edoardo Saracco (Carabinieri sports center) and Francesco Zucchini (Prad Raiffeisen Werbering). Thirteenth place for Riccardo Poser, of the Ski College of Falcade, and fourteenth for Giorgio Baldo (Ski club Cortina). In the evening the parallel tricolor was also disputed, with Pomarè and Zavatarelli who were eliminated in the quarters and De Leonardis and Sola first and second.
