Angelica Prestia from Pavia dominated the women’s ranking of the Olympic triathlon held in Mazara del Vallo in Sicily. The nineteen-year-old blue multi-athlete of the Raschiani Triathlon Pavese showed her form by winning the second consecutive race since she has been in Sicily for the summer camp, organized by the president Andrea Libanore, followed by the coach Gigi Zanlungo and reserved for the young people of the club’s Talent Area verdenera.
Behind Angelica Prestia was placed the eighteen year old teammate Paola Sacchi for yet another splendid double in a very difficult day. Among the men, Paola’s brother, the twenty-year-old Francesco, finished fifth overall and second in the senior 1 male category while Marco Faversani finished eighth overall and second in the senior 1 male category. The eleventh position of the young Gabriele Gianatti concluded the series of placings of the Pavesi in the race that was won by Enrico Schiavino of the Magma Team, a Sicilian company.
