So far the problem has not arisen, as the Eagles played the home games of the Serie B on Saturday evening, while the Bianconeri played their home games at 6 pm on Sunday, the classic A2 series schedule. But now we need to think about it, also because the risk of competing and taking away a slice of wedge-shaped ball fans is about to become real.

At Apu the problem does not arise: the company has been in A2 since 2016/2017 and has always played at 18 on Sunday, anticipating Saturday evening only on the occasion of concomitances with Udinese, in agreement with the Police Headquarters for reasons of order. public. It will go on like this, no one in the company faces the problem of entering into agreements with Cividale.

In the ducal city, the issue is not on the agenda. The management is committed to completing the bureaucratic steps to formalize the registration for the A2 championship by Thursday’s deadline, everything else takes a back seat.

However, it is possible that Gesteco also chooses to play on Sunday at 6 pm: in A2 the only team that systematically anticipates Saturday evening is Urania Milano for reasons related to the availability of the facility. The reason is simple: when you return from long trips, perhaps on Monday, playing on Saturday means one less recovery day.

A2 is an amateur league, certain things are taken into due consideration. Another aspect is related to the choices of the National Basketball League when compiling the calendars. The concomitances will certainly be avoided for the two Cremona teams, who share the same plant, but for teams from the same province (as in the case of Udine and Cividale or Ferrara and Cento) there are no stakes.

Last year the two Piacenza teams, who played in different gyms, found themselves playing at the same time several times.

So in August, when the calendars will be announced, Friulian basketball fans will go and check how many and what the overlaps will be. Unless the two rival companies agree first.

But given the air that is blowing, it seems rather difficult for the two sides (who look at each other in scowl) to decide to take a step towards each other. The feeling is that it will be derby all year round.
