CAGLIARI. Federico “Freddy” Pilloni consolidates his leadership in the ISAF World Championship of the Techno 293 class, currently taking place in the waters of Mussanah, Oman. The 15-year-old standard bearer of the Windsurfing Club Cagliari on the third day of the competition scored another three excellent partial, a fourth, discarded in the standings as the worst performance, and two first. And, after nine tests, Freddy has lengthened his pace by increasing the advantage over his closest rival, the British Boris Shaw, 7 points behind the top, pursued in third place by the Turkish Ozan Turker.
«Warm, light wind, it was a very busy day – comments Freddy Pilloni -, I made a fourth in the first race: I made a mistake in the race tactic, then I recovered and won the other two scheduled races. Now I try to recharge the batteries and think about the other races with the desire to consolidate more and more the leadership in the standings ».
