VERONA
The first went, and well. Giandomenico Basso won the Power stage of the Rally 2 Valli, the Italian’s penultimate race, and took home the first 3 points. The time came despite an error in the first corners: despite the lost half second he managed to trim 7 tenths to Crugnola and Andolfi, just 4 thousandths apart. These 3 points hold open the possibility (albeit remote) that Basso will be able to close the speeches for Italian with an early race. The Cavaso driver has to win the race for the first time in his career, and Andolfi has to get out of the points. At the same time, Crugnola must finish the race in fourth place or worse. In short, mathematically Giando could also do it, but it’s hard. Easy that the last race, the Liburna Cup, will be decisive. –
