The Amp overwhelms Mirandola 5-1 and celebrates the promotion Nothing to do for the other team from Pavia knocked out with Sandrigo

Motonautica Pavia wins the men’s playoffs of Serie C and rises to Serie B2, while Canottieri comes out defeated after returning to Sandrigo and remains in Serie C. These are the verdicts of yesterday’s challenges.
The Motonautica, starting from the 4-2 obtained in the first leg on the Mirandola Tennis Club, closes the accounts already after the singles, thanks to three wins out of four in the matches played in the morning, then also makes its doubles for a clear 5-1 final . Alessandro Valletta won 6-2, 6-1 over Francesco Malavasi, but an immediate response from the Emilians with Enrico Muracchini prevailing 5-7, 6-4, 6-2. The Amp, however, closed the accounts with the overwhelming victories of Rodolfo Craviotto for 6-2, 6-0 over Gustavo Campagnoli and Marco Brugnerotto, with the partial 6-0, 6-2, over Riccardo Stabile. With the result acquired and with the promotion to B2 in his pocket, Motonautica also imposed itself in the doubles: Alessandro and Marco Cassiani won 7-5 and the opponents’ Stabile-Mantovani retired, while Valletta and the 1-0 at the start of the game Craviotto also “cashed in” here the withdrawal of the Emilians Malavasi and Campagnoli. Motonuatica which therefore next year will have a team in B2 in addition to the first team which in the autumn will be at the start of the national A2 championship.
Rowers, no comeback
Starting immediately uphill, however, in the Venetian trip to the fields of Tc Sandrigo for Canottieri Ticino after the draw of the first leg (3-3): for the Pavia team the 4-2 defeat puts an end to the dreams of promotion. Victories in singles for the hosts of Mario Radic, for 5-7, 7-5, 7-6 over Riccardo Mascarini and Andrej Krackman for 6-1, 6-3 over Luca Bergonzi, while Giuseppe Bonaiuti’s point pavese with the score of 6-7, 7-6, 7-5 on Rigoni. In the last singles the color bearer of Canottieri Lorenzo Zacconi won the first set 6-2 against Andrea Bresolin, but lost the next two by 2-6, 3-6. The fourth and decisive point for Sandrigo with Krackman and Jurman with 6-2, 6-0 over Mascarini and Zacconi and at 6-2, 2-0 in their favor the other Venetian couple Radic-Rigoni retired leaving Bonaiuti and Bergonzi the second point of the day for the Pavesi. –
