At the conference: specialists in cardiology, neurology, internal medicine, geriatrics, emergency medicine, endocrinology, radiology and general practitioners as well as nurses.
The study of heart-brain interactions is a clinical area that is increasingly developing due to the important interactions, the need for comparison between specialists with different addresses and the technological possibilities in the diagnostic and operational field. Diseases affecting the neurocardiovascular system occupy the first place in the world as regards morbidity and mortality. Over 30% of the population today loses their lives due to diseases related to the neurocardiocirculatory system and there is an increase in people with vascular disabilities who need assistance and prolonged care with a serious social impact. Risk factors, the most advanced diagnostic investigation solutions, pharmacological and interventional therapies were analyzed. Great attention has been paid to differential diagnostics dedicated to the mechanisms of heart-brain interaction, especially in clinical situations for which the possibility of rapid effective therapeutic interventions also depends on the timely and punctual identification of risk conditions or dysfunctions. Furthermore, a focus on the pathophysiological conditions most at risk have been envisaged, which can lead to severe cardiac or neurological damage.
