IVREA

Youngest player at Canavese Ivrea women’s Serie C volleyball, Elisa Bonatto, 15 years old from Ivrea (tomorrow, Thursday she turns 16) is on her second experience with the Ivrea first team, as she herself says: “I made my debut in Serie C last year, but I haven’t played many games, but this year it’s going better because I have more space and above all I have gained more experience, thanks also to my teammates, who help me a lot in every aspect both during each training and at Saturday in the game ». Raised in the youth sector of Canavese Ivrea volley, as for example Valentina Bona, Giorgia Gilardino, Martina and Valentina Re and Povolo did in the past, Bonatto started playing volleyball at the age of six: “I took my first steps in this club – explains Bonatto – making the die in all categories, then last year being called up to the first team, thus realizing a dream. I am proud to be part of that group of players who grew up in this club, such as the twins Re, Bona, Gilardino and Povolo, but before reaching their level I will still have to work a lot, in all respects ».

Bonatto plays a central role, together with Marzia Vittonatti, in a position on the pitch that requires a lot of work in the gym, as the Ivrea player herself explains: “My goal is to improve in every aspect, starting from physical strength, while for what concerns the fundamentals, bagher and masonry are those in which it is essential to improve – Bonatto says -. I do not lack the desire to work to improve, patience will be needed, but at the same time I will always have to have the right concentration every time I set foot in the gym ». Sport, but also school, Elisa Bonatto is ready to pursue the two aspects in parallel, as she states: «I attend the Gramsci high school in Ivrea and it is not easy to manage to reconcile sport and school, but with organization and method I will succeed. I want to show those who believe in me that you can carry on school and sport in the right way, you just need to always believe in what you do and pursue with self-denial your own path that you have decided to take “. –
