Costa Rican Soccer Player Brandon Aguilera Makes Premier League Debut
Costa Rican soccer has a new rising star in Brandon Aguilera, who recently made his Premier League debut for Nottingham Forest against Brentford on matchday 21. At just 20 years old, Aguilera became the youngest Costa Rican player to debut in the Premier League, surpassing the previous record set by Paulo César Wanchope.
Aguilera’s debut came in the final minutes of the match, with Nottingham Forest already trailing 3-2. Despite his efforts, the team was unable to secure an equalizer, resulting in their eleventh loss of the championship.
In addition to his Premier League debut, Aguilera also made his first appearance in the FA Cup earlier in the week, adding to his growing list of accomplishments.
His performance has garnered attention not only in the UK but also in Costa Rica, where he could potentially join the national team for the upcoming play-off for a spot in the Copa América 2024.
Nottingham Forest has high hopes for Aguilera, signing him on a contract until June 2026, and fans are excited to see what the young midfielder can bring to the team in the coming years.
