No European Cup final-four, flying specialties for the Brb Ivrea tricolors. In the quarter-finals played between Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 September at the Aosta bowling alley in Piazza Tzamberlet, Gaglianico and the French from Saint Vulbas qualified for the final phase of the event. In the rest of the match, the Frenchmen of Laurent Beraud managed to recover ground until they reached a tie on the partial at 7-7 (at the end of the first phase).
It was the final four challenges that decided the match. Balance sheet: three defeats (those of the two couples made up of: Daniele Grosso and Carlo Ballabene and the one formed by Emanuele Ferrero and Fabrizio Deregibus) and the ko in Simone Nari’s individual.
The only victory was that of Luigi Grattapaglia, for the final score of 13-9. In the other match, Saturday, Gaglianico beat Fontaine 16-6. At that point, the wide victory of Brb Ivrea in yesterday’s match against another transalpine formation of Fontaine for 18-4 was worth nothing. –
