Lommel SK did not get further than a 1-1 draw on the 23rd matchday in the Challenger Pro League on Sunday at Jong Genk. Beerschot also failed to get past Seraing: 0-0.
After a nice goal by ex-Genk player Dries Wouters (73.), Lommel seemed to be on its way to victory, but after a red card for Dermane Karim, the Limburgers still gave up the victory. Genk substitute Victory Beniangba (81.) ensured the 1-1 final score.

Beerschot and Seraing did not even score earlier on Sunday. The Rats were the better team overall, but failed to reward themselves. The Antwerp team claimed possession of the ball in the first half, but this did not result in many great opportunities. A stiff Seraing kept the spaces well closed. The home team also dominated in the second half, but the visitors held their ground despite several waves of attacks from the Kielse Ratten.
Despite the loss of points, Beerschot remains joint leader in the Challenger Pro League, together with Deinze (43 points). Lommel remains fifth, Jong Genk is tenth with 29 points. Seraing is penultimate with 19 points and remains stuck in the relegation swamp.
