Chaos Longarone Alpina. Clash with the municipality and the merger could skip after a year

Carlo Giuliana with the mayor Roberto Padrin

The dispute would be linked to the management of the stadium. It is not excluded that the team will move to the Polisportivo

LONGARONE

Clash between society and the municipality. And even the Longarone Alpina would be about to pack up and leave, abandoning the name of the country that has hosted the Gialloblù club since last summer.

Even if in this case it would be necessary to go and find a new playing field, as La Rossa certainly does not have the requisites to host the Promotion championship. A real chaos therefore, apparently linked to the management of the Longarone plant.

All very paradoxical, because only a few days ago the team had been received in common for a ceremony following the victory of the Veneto Cup. And the president Carlo Giuliana himself has talked several times with the mayor Roberto Padrin.

So what will happen in the coming weeks? It seems a press conference is already scheduled for June 10th. The date is rather later in time, perhaps with the hope of being able to find a (difficult) solution with which to avoid a turnaround twelve months later that would have been sensational. And in the meantime the hypothesis of an Alpina guest of the Polisportivo di Belluno makes its way.

The only note that can reassure the fans of the Longarone Alpina concerns the maximum commitment ensured towards the first team, which is waiting for the now certain repechage in Promotion following the victory of the Cup.

The rest, however, remains an unknown. Starting precisely from the name and from the participation of the company part that belonged to Longarone.

In case of farewell, would the current managers fully follow the “new” Alpina, effectively making football disappear from Longarone? What would become of the youth sector, whose boys are almost all from those areas?

Questions that cannot be answered as the mouths are not sewn, more so.

At the most, President Giuliana tells us how “we are looking for a solution, otherwise we will go back to being just the Alpina”.

Number one itself does not rule out legal action either. However, as mentioned, the full confidence of the environment on respect for sporting commitment remains, and indeed someone sees the possibility of re-entering the context of Belluno, a city that has been orphaned of the centenary yellow-blue team conveyed to the Belluno Dolomites. Perhaps by going to the Polisportivo di Belluno, which, however, in 2023 will be subject to the well-known restyling, necessary to put in order an old and not very functional facility for the needs of the various clubs.

On the common front of Longarone, the mayor Roberto Padrin responds in a dry way to any question, among other things a great football fan and happy last summer with the marriage with which a couple of higher categories were brought to the village than the Third.

“I’m not saying anything about the story.”

It is clear that we are talking about something complicated to solve, as neither side seems apparently willing to give up. In the age of mergers, there is a risk of witnessing an unexpected split.
