Chinese Men’s Basketball Team Trains on Lunar New Year for Asian Cup Qualifiers
The Chinese Men’s Basketball Team is not taking a break this Lunar New Year, as they prepare for the upcoming 2025 Men’s Basketball Asian Cup Qualifiers. The team has announced that they will conduct training and competitions from February 12 to 25 in order to prepare for the qualifiers.
The training camp includes a list of players, including Zhao Jiwei, Fu Hao, Abdul Saramu, Qi Lin, Cheng Shuipeng, Yu Jiahao, Hu Jinqiu, Zhu Junlong, Hu Mingxuan, Du Runwang, Xu Jie, Liao Sanning, Yang Hansen, Wang Ruize, Zhao Jiayi, and Cui Yongxi.
Head coach Djordjevic stated that the inclusion of more candidates in this training camp is to allow the players to establish a tacit understanding in advance. This will also ensure that if any old players are unable to play due to unforeseen reasons such as injuries, young players can fill the position promptly.
The team is scheduled to play two Asian Cup qualifiers later this month, facing the Mongolian team at home on the 22nd and an away game against Japan on the 25th. The Chinese team is putting in the hard work and dedication to make sure they are prepared for these important upcoming matches.
