2024 Qianjiang Return to Wanhu Marathon Promises Exciting Events and Cultural Experiences

The much-anticipated “Chu Yun Xi Xiang Run Qianjiang” 2024 Qianjiang Return to Wanhu Marathon press conference was held on April 9, where Vice Mayor Wang Dan made an appearance to promote the event. The marathon, scheduled for April 21, promises to showcase the beauty of Qianjiang’s natural landscape and cultural heritage.
Starting at 8 a.m. on April 21 at Moling Square in Houhu Management Area, the 2024 Qianjiang Huiwan Lake Marathon features various events such as the full marathon, half marathon, and 8-kilometer health run, catering to different running enthusiasts. With an expected turnout of 10,000 runners, the marathon aims to promote ecological civilization with the theme of “Running into Nature and Enjoying Ecology.”
To ensure the safety and well-being of the athletes, the organizing committee has set up medical stations, drinking water stations, and food supply stations, with professional medical personnel, first aid runners, and medical volunteers equipped with AED equipment. Additionally, the marathon will incorporate the “Qianjiang Lobster” element, offering contestants lobster cultural and creative products, as well as crayfish food vouchers.
Participants will also have the opportunity to explore Qianjiang further by enjoying free city bus rides and visiting the Longwan National Archaeological Site Park, a national 4A tourist attraction. This exciting event promises to showcase the unique cultural charm of Qianjiang and provide participants with an unforgettable marathon experience.
