The 4th Winter Youth Olympic Games came to a close on February 1 in Gangneung, South Korea. The closing ceremony was attended by International Olympic Committee President Bach and Choi Jong-qiu, executive chairman of the Gangwon-do Winter Youth Olympic Games Organizing Committee.

Athlete representatives and volunteers took part in the closing ceremony, with the Chinese delegation entering the venue and actors singing a chorus at the International Olympic Committee flag lowering ceremony. The ceremony also featured the Winter Youth Olympic Games mascot “Menggio” and volunteers extinguishing the electronic torch with snowflakes.

Delegations from various countries and the audience were present to watch the performances, with many capturing the moment on their mobile phones. A member of the Czech delegation even attended the ceremony wearing five-ring glasses.

The 4th Winter Youth Olympic Games saw athletes from around the world competing in various winter sports, showcasing their talent and sportsmanship. As the games came to a close, the focus now shifts to the upcoming Olympics, with the torch passed on to the next generation of athletes.
