Bogota, 8 June 2022 – A billionaire treasure lies at the bottom of the sea off the coast of Colombia. The exceptional images of the legendary wreck of the San José Galleon, hidden at a depth of 950 meters for over 3 centuries, have been published by the Navy of Colombia. The Colombian Navy and Ministry of Culture believe that the San José was carrying wealth worth billions of dollars at the time of its sinking. The various videos made are the result of four observation missions conducted with a robotic submarine of the Bogota Navy. The extraordinary, and unique, images show parts of the galleon. In the mud you can clearly see the cannons, then the porcelain crockery and various ceramics, but glass bottles and also pieces and gold coins.
