Game 2 of the B2 women’s playoff final also goes to Conegliano. At the Zoppas Arena, the Cortina Express Belluno fails to overturn the defeat of the first leg and yields again 3-0. The Coneglianese battleship celebrates its promotion to B1.
The Lupe will try again in the fourth playoff round. In the starting sextet, coach Pavei has to give up three out of six owners (Fantinel, Garzaro and Fiabane) and relies on Mengaziol and Casagrande, Poles and Fioretti on the bands, Chiericati and Bortoluzzi in the center, with Giulia Pavei free. The start is immediately challenging (4-0 for the clubs and Belluno timeout). Conegliano rises up to +8 (12-4) forcing coach Pavei to stop the game again.
The young Sextet from Belluno tries to shorten it and manages to reassemble until 14-9. On 16-10, change in direction with Marchesan who takes over Mengaziol. But the inertia of the game is now clear. Against the wall, Conegliano manages to quickly close the practice (25-12). The Belluno players try to get off to a good start in the second (2-0) but Conegliano immediately returns to 9-3.
At 9-4, captain Fantinel grits his teeth and tries to make his contribution to the team. Even in this case, however, the gap between the two teams gradually becomes clearer and Conegliano also takes home the second set (25-11). By winning the second set, the Treviso women celebrate the leap of the category, while the Bellunesi acquire the certainty of accessing the fourth round.
In the third set, the score trend is quite similar to the previous ones. In the final, on 20-11, another young woman from the Belluno roster, Zambon, finds space against the battleship Conegliano. Which imposes itself 25-13.
Now head to the fourth round: gone next weekend (almost certainly at home), return (away) a week later. N.P.
