Rome, 3 September 2021 – In the period 11-24 August 2021, the average transmissibility index Rt calculated on symptomatic cases was equal to 0.97 (range 0.92-1.01), close to the epidemic threshold and slightly decrease compared to the previous week when it reached the value of 1.01. There is also a slight decrease in Rt based on hospitalized cases. It emerges from the draft of the weekly monitoring at the examination of the control room.
