Cruz Azul: Toluca frees up NFM spot to sign Escobar

Toluca Clears Up Space for Juan Escobar

In the absence of official confirmation, Toluca would have already managed to free up the foreign position it needed to sign Juan Escobar from Cruz Azul. The lack of official confirmation from Toluca makes it official that Juan Escobar would be increasingly closer to becoming a scarlet reinforcement during this transfer market, after his unexpected departure from Cruz Azul following an alleged conflict with Martin Anselmi. The club is about to release Brazilian player Pedro Raúl, which would clear the way for Escobar to join Toluca.

According to information from the Argentine journalist, César Luis Merlo, specialist in the international transfer market, Toluca would have already reached an agreement with Corinthians for the Brazilian striker to return to his country.

The specialist in the transfer market from Liga MX, Fernando Esquivel, announced that there would already be a verbal agreement for the former Cruz Azul captain to become Toluca’s reinforcement. It is reported that Escobar would arrive from Cruz Azul on a loan for one year with a purchase option.

The possibility of an exchange between Toluca and Cruz Azul for Juan Escobar and his compatriot Robert Morales would have allowed the Devils to free the Non-Formed position in Mexico. However, with the departure of Pedro Raúl, the arrival of Robert Morales is ruled out.

Overall, Toluca seems to be preparing for the potential signing of Juan Escobar, making moves to free up space and finalize the necessary agreements for the transfer. Escobar’s arrival would mark an important reinforcement for Toluca as they continue to strengthen their squad.
