Genk

The decision has been made, the transfer is almost complete: Daniel Munoz is exchanging KRC Genk for Crystal Palace. The English club reached a verbal agreement with Genk on Friday morning, Munoz himself will fly to London on Friday afternoon to take his medical and physical tests. The right back will no longer play for KRC Genk and will therefore not be present in the derby at Stayen on Sunday.

The deal would involve a transfer fee of approximately 10 million euros. That amount will be achieved if Munoz plays enough minutes with the current number 15 in the Premier League. Moreover, KRC Genk will also pass the cash register if the Colombian international is sold on in the future with an added value.

Paintsil en Fadera terug

With the departure of Munoz, Wouter Vrancken loses an absolute strongman. Yet the Genk coach also received good news on Friday in the run-up to the derby. As expected, Joseph Paintsil and Alieu Fadera returned to the Cegeka Arena after being eliminated in the group stage at the African Cup with Ghana and Gambia respectively. The duo is available for the clash with the Canaries.
