The grenade band to the conquest of Turin. Chivasso, a few kilometers from the Piedmontese capital, is already ready to host the national Final four of the Serie A2 bowls championship, Volo specialty.
And among the four finalists is Dolada Seribell, the Pontalpine formation that won first place in the single group of the East group.
Competing for the A2 championship (and therefore the promotion to the top national series, the A1) will be the Piedmontese della Rosta (first classified in group 1 of the West group), the Valle d’Aosta of Nus (first in the group 2 West) and the Friulians of the Cussignacco (who won the play-off to conquer the fourth and last useful place).
THE PROGRAM
The semifinals will be played tomorrow afternoon, from 14.15. The pairings will be established only a few hours before, by drawing lots. In any case, the Dolada will find one between Rosta and Nus: it will not be able to fish for the Cussignacco, having already faced it in the regular phase of the season.
The two winners of tomorrow’s semifinals will land in the final which will be played on Sunday, from 9.30.
As usual, the final will take place throughout the day: the first round of traditional games in the morning, from 9.30 to 11. The relay at 11.30. After lunch, at 2 pm the tests of the precision shooting, at 2:45 pm those of the progressive shooting. From 15.10 the last round of traditional games will end, therefore, shortly before 17.00.
THE SPECIALIST
After the finishing on Wednesday evening, the Pontalpini have prepared the bags and already today, they will travel to Turin to be found, tomorrow, in the best shape.
«We are energized and we have prepared very well. We have always trained together once or twice a week ”, explains the strong player of Dolada Lino Frare,“ and the riders were the first to prepare themselves in the best possible way. Winning the title will be difficult, because we will face teams as equipped as we are, if not slightly more, but in the finals anything can always happen and we will go there to try to win our Scudetto. What will it take? It will take two days with maximum commitment. The group wants to take home the title and the club is aiming a lot, because it has a serious and ambitious project ».
The eight victories (out of eight) in the regular phase of the A2 East championship speak in favor of Dolada …
«The eight victories in the group have a relative weight, because the technical rate this year was lower than last year, also due to Covid and subsequent withdrawals by some clubs. It was a particular championship and I, for one, struggled a lot to get in shape. The guys have always given their best and have been good at making up for my shortcomings. In short, those eight victories are worth more for the statistics than for anything else, even if they are nice ».
