The 9th Asian Winter Games in Harbin 2025 are quickly approaching, with the 300-day countdown officially beginning on April 13. The theme of this grand event is “Snow and Ice Dreams and Asia Concentric”. Various key figures such as Xu Qin, Gao Zhidan, and Liang Huiling delivered speeches at the countdown ceremony held at the Harbin Grand Theater.

Gao Zhidan emphasized the importance of the short preparation time for the Asian Winter Games and commended the efforts of the Heilongjiang Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government for their dedication to the event. The Asian Winter Games Organizing Committee has been working diligently to ensure that the games will be hosted in a “green, shared, open, and clean” manner, according to Gao Zhidan.

Liang Huiling expressed the province and city’s commitment to making the Asian Winter Games a spectacular and culturally rich event that embodies the spirit of Chinese traditions. Fok Zhenting from the Olympic Council of Asia highlighted the beauty of Heilongjiang Province and Harbin City as they continue to prepare for the games.

During the countdown event, an Asian Winter Games Harbin city image promotional video was released, along with the core graphics, color systems, and sports icons of the games. Invitations were sent out to the Olympic Committees of 45 countries in Asia to join in the celebration.

Multiple branch venues have been set up across the city, including the Heilongjiang Provincial Ice Training Center and the Qiqihar Ice Hockey Arena, showcasing the unity and excitement surrounding the Asian Winter Games. The goal is to create a “Green Asia Winter, Smart Asia Winter, Open Asia Winter, and Shared Asia Winter” experience for all participants and spectators.
