In excellence, Zanuttig’s team makes an incredible comeback in the standings, overcoming Sandonà, defeated by Portomansuè
TREVISO. A season that seemed hopelessly thrown away risks turning, right in the end, into an unexpected chance to take another step towards the football that counts. Treviso overtakes Vittorio Falmec by 2-0 (double by Salviato) in front of a tenni in fibrillation and, thanks to what the radio tuned to Mansuè tells us, we can celebrate.
The Sandonà in fact fails to overcome PortoMansuè, on the contrary, is defeated by 1-0 (Tomasella scores in the middle of the first half) and is then overtaken in the standings by the Biancocelesti (52 points against 50) who close the championship in second place behind the unreachable Portogruaro.
What happens now? Portogruaro is played in a triangular match with Giorgione and Villafranca Veronese, winners of the other two groups: two out of three are promoted. Treviso also touches the triangular, with the other two second, Montecchio and United Borgoricco Campetra. For the biancocelesti the path will be more difficult: they must win the triangular to access the national play-offs (together with the loser of the triangular one among the first classified), and there they will need two more rounds to be able to assign a single place in Serie D.
So it’s good to celebrate, because only a few weeks ago no one would have imagined it, but nothing has yet been done: Fabiano and his companions now have to put the right gear, you can no longer go wrong if you really want to cultivate the dream of promotion.
