In the specific case of Alassio, on January 6, Foootgolf played on the beach of the Baia del Sole, rather than on the classic lawns among the olive trees.
But to reinforce the feeling that this sport is serious is the full-bodied list of good feet that this year, with various big names in other sports such as Claudio Chiappucci, joined the program of the sixth edition developed by the Eccoci per on the day of the Epiphany. A super team featuring Evaristo Beccalossi, Diego Fuser, Marco Osio, Stefano Tacconi, Alessandro Scanziani, Paolo Monelli, the ace of the house Luigi Gualco, Nazzareno Canuti, Beppe Dossena, Nello Santin, Giuseppe Pallavicini, Natalino Fossati and Gianluca Zambrotta. There are many competitions for newbies to prove themselves. The technical difficulties, the pitfalls and the slopes that increase the difficulties are not lacking. But then when you have an experience like that of playing on the magnificent lawn of the Golf degli Ulivi in Sanremo, you are rewarded for everything ». And Footgolf on the beach in Alassio? «It is played for a just cause. From a technical point of view, everything is a bit more complicated by the humpbacks and the sand, but the important thing here is that solidarity always wins, ”says Fuser.
Even in Alassio the day of the Befana will be played with a normal soccer ball, on a twelve-hole course spread over about one kilometer of beach, from piazza Paccini to piazza Partigiani. With many other enthusiasts, exponents of the National FootGolf League, the Italian FootGolf Association, FootGolf Motta Treviso and FootGolf Liguria participate.
