Great satisfaction for the Lettera 22 Ivrea for the conquest of salvation, with consequent permanence in C Silver also in the next season, after a regular season studded with defeats.

The Ivrea team led by the very good Mauro Celani had closed the championship in last place without savoring the taste of victory, but they did not lose heart and as coach Celani repeatedly said at the end of the last return match: “Now we are preparing well for the playout where surely the boys will give the best of them.” Never was a prediction more apt. Degrandi and his companions, already in the first round, opposed to Vimarc Cuneo Granda, had offered capital performances managing to win game 2 on the Gramsci parquet, bringing the result of the comparison to the beautiful in Cuneo, lost by a few points of difference.

Opposed to Mg Consultintg Novara, an opponent who had beaten them both times in the league, the letters literally changed course by inflicting a sharp 2-0 to the Novara at the end of two games lived with their hearts in their throats and ended in their favor with the minimum difference.

Certainly the inclusion of Marcello Saccomani in the Ivrea roster made the difference. Saccomani not only brought, together with his technical quality, even kilos and centimeters, in addition to his great experience. On the basis of a rather bizarre regulation, despite the salvation achieved, the letters are forced to play a useless third round playout, scheduled in the event of relegation of three Piedmontese teams from B2 (but they will be at most two), facing the Vercelli Rices, to in turn came out the winner from the comparison with the Laura Vicuna Oasis. The best of the three games will be played with game 1 scheduled for Friday 20 May at the Palapiacco di Vercelli while game 2 will be played on Tuesday 24 at the Gramsci gym starting at 9 pm. Eventual “beautiful” at the home of the Vercelli.

Those who have yet to save themselves, hoping that Oleggio will do it in the B2 playout, are the two teams defeated in the second playout round, that is Mg Consulting Novara and Oasi Laura Vicuna who will clash in the third and final playout round. At the moment, however, it is time for celebrations and we will start thinking about the coming season from next month with the hope of delivering a team that does not make fans and management suffer too much to coach Mauro Celani. –
