Former Olympic champion Antonio Rossi hospitalized for heart attack

by admin

Antonio Rossi, former Olympic canoe champion, gold medal in Atlanta and Sydney and Azzurro flag bearer, current undersecretary with responsibility for Sport of the Lombardy Region, is hospitalized at Sant’Anna hospital in Como for the after-effects of a heart attack.

Rossi, who on Sunday fell ill while participating in a half marathon in Conegliano (Treviso), had been hospitalized in the Venetian town, only to be transferred, when he stabilized, to Como where his trusted doctor, Mario Galli, works. Now the conditions of the champion and politician from Lecco are good, so much so that he could be discharged in the next few days.
