Rome, August 9, 2021 – A priest was killed in Saint-Laurent-sur-Sèvre, in Vendée, in the west of the France. This was communicated by the diocese and the gendarmerie of Mortagne-sur-Sèvre, cited by the local media. The priest’s lifeless body was discovered this morning following a report by a man who “presented himself to the gendarmerie this morning” assuming responsibility for the murder, according to a source close to the affair. The man had already come under the attention of investigators last year, as part of the investigation intofire of July to Nantes Cathedral.
