Garmin launches two very interesting innovations for women –

During CES 2024, Garmin presented the Lily 2, a new smartwatch that stands out for its elegant 35mm metal design. Available in two versions, Lily 2 and Lily 2 Classic, both models offer heart rate monitoring, sleep quality assessment and connected GPS functions. The Lily 2 is characterized by its activity suggestions and integrated fitness apps. The Lily 2 Classic model, however, stands out for the addition of Garmin Pay for contactless payments.

Garmin also introduced the HRM-Fit, a revolutionary heart rate monitor designed specifically for women. This device represents a novelty in the panorama of cardiac monitors thanks to its ability to easily attach to sports bras, eliminating the need for a traditional chest strap.

Garmin Lily 2 and Lily 2 Classic: a perfect balance between aesthetics and functionality

With the introduction of the Garmin Lily 2 and Lily 2 Classic smartwatches, Garmin is continuing the success of its first Lily model, launched approximately three years ago. These elegant watches are designed to fit perfectly on the most delicate wrists, especially female ones, thanks to a compact dial and a thin 14mm strap. The standout feature of these watches is their monochrome OLED display, set against a colored background that makes the menus in various shades of gray a pleasure for the eyes. The case, with small dimensions (35.4 x 35.4 x 10.1 mm), contains a round 240 x 201 pixel screen, confirming the perfect balance between aesthetics and functionality that characterizes these devices.

While placing a strong emphasis on design, the Garmin Lily 2 does not give up sports and wellness functions. This smartwatch features real-time heart rate monitoring, includes a pulse oximeter, and integrates several features typical of Garmin watches, such as the Body Battery algorithm. It also offers detailed sleep analysis and stress level assessment. However, it should be noted that the Garmin Lily 2 does not support GPS tracking for workouts, as it does not come with a dedicated GPS chip.

The Garmin Lily 2 is presented on the market in two variants: the standard version, offered at 279.99 euros in pink or gold shades, equipped with a silicone strap, and the Classic version, available at 299.99 euros or 349.99 euro in brown, bronze, sage or gold colors, with straps made of fabric or leather.

Garmin HRM-Fit: A heart rate belt designed for women

In addition to the Lily 2 smartwatch series, Garmin introduced the HRM-Fit heart rate monitor, an innovative product for sports enthusiasts. This band, similar in use to the HRM-Pro, provides accurate real-time heart rate monitoring by capturing electrical signals directly from the heart via two electrodes. This technology guarantees greater reliability than the optical tracking systems of sports smartwatches.

A distinctive benefit of the HRM-Fit is its ability to attach directly to a bra or sports bra, eliminating the need for a belt that completely wraps around the torso. This makes it more practical and comfortable during physical activity.

HRM-Fit is not limited to measuring heart rate alone, but also provides data on heart rate variability and running dynamics. Compatible with Garmin smartwatches, the band also supports ANT+ and Bluetooth LE protocols, allowing you to connect to various devices such as home trainers, treadmills and smartphones, making it ideal for apps such as Strava.

The Garmin HRM-Fit heart rate monitor is already available on the market at the price of 159.99 euros, offering athletes a versatile and reliable solution for monitoring their performance.
