By winning all six mini-sets played last night at the Spes Arena, the Motta Volleyball (newly promoted in Serie A2) claims the difference category and prevails over the hosts of Da Rold Logistics Belluno (fresh off the landing in A3). The joint training (we could not speak of a real friendly, in fact, since the sets were won at 15 points, and with the addition of more balls on the field) represented a stimulating test bed for Paganin. and companions, who came from the much more affordable friendly match with Cus Trieste.
In the initial sextet, coach Poletto ranks Maccabruni and De Santis diagonally, Paganin and Mozzato in the center, Graziani and Candeago on the bands, with Martinez free. The central Piazzetta, once again available to the coach from Belluno, is used during construction. The highest technical caliber of the opposing team, compared to the sextet faced a week ago, emerges right from the start. The partials with which the disputed sets end, although not very significant, are the faithful confirmation of this: 10-15, 9-15, 7-15, 9-15, 13-15, 7-15.
At the start, the visiting team (led very well by a director of a higher level, Alberini) immediately makes things clear (10-2). At the beginning of the second set, on the contrary, the team from Belluno tries to put its head forward (4-2), albeit for short periods. The third set sees the entry of Ostuzzi (who a few hours before graduated in pure mathematics at the University of Padua) in place of Candeago. At the start of the fourth set, however, coach Poletto makes the setter Maccabruni catch his breath by inserting Della Vecchia in his place. In the fifth there is also space for the Gionchetti band. And it is the Belluno people, this time, who arrive first in double figures (10-8 by De Santis who finds the hands out of the opponent’s block).
Finally, in the sixth and last set played, coach Poletto completes the rotation by including the Belluno players Milani (in place of De Santis) and Pierobon (in place of Martinez). Next Saturday, in Motta di Livenza, the people of Belluno will reciprocate the visit of the A2 club. That will be the last test before the official debut in A3, Sunday 10 October at the Spes Arena against Abba Pineto.

The girls trained by coaches Dario Pavei and Paolo Viel will face Cus Venezia. The group available to the coach remains incomplete, but there are some good reasons to look forward with confidence. Captain Fantinel, for example, underwent a knee resonance which ruled out more serious problems than a “simple” inflammation. For the rest, the spiker-opposite Casagrande, who will not be at risk today, is still in the middle of the service, while her colleague from the Fioretti department is back in the group. –
