With a 208cm pivot, Sims began his NBA career wearing the jerseys of New Orleans, Cleveland, Philadelphia and Brooklyn over four seasons, scoring 1031 points with an average of 7.64 points, seasoned with 5 rebounds. In 2016/17 he played for Shanxi Zhongyu, racking up over 22 points and 11 rebounds per game. The following season Sims lands in Italy, in Cremona, and impresses well with 11 points and 6 rebounds to lace up shoes. The following year he is in Rome in Legadue and the figures practically double: 19 + 11. In 2019/2020 the call of Fortitudo arrives, again in A (15 + 9) while the following season he plays both in Korea in Incheon and in Reggio Emilia, before the call of Treviso. In November, Sims was the MVP in Serie A with 20.7 points scored (first and only player over twenty points), fifth in rebounds (7.7) and first by evaluation with an average of 28.7.
