Twenty-two teams divided into two groups of 11 for the women’s A2 volleyball championship, which will start on the weekend of 9 and 10 October. Cda Talmassons and Itas Ceccarelli Martignacco are included in group B, together with Mondovì, Pinerolo, Soverato, Club Italia, Montecchio Maggiore, Volley Albese-Como, Vicenza, Volleyball Sicily Catania, Modica. Group A includes Millenium Brescia, Macerata, Marsala Volley, Sassuolo, San Giovanni in Marignano-Rimini, Olimpia Teodora Ravenna, Busto Arsizio, Hermaea Olbia, Altino Volley Chieti, Sporting Club Aragona, Sant’Elia-Frosinone.

A subdivision that satisfies both regional companies. «They are two balanced groups – explains Talmassons director Gianni De Paoli – in which the most popular teams are equally divided between the two groups. There are three particularly long away matches for all teams in both groups. We are also happy to be able to play the derby with Martignacco and still have two away matches in Veneto, very close. It could not have been better than this: it is a subdivision that reflects the principle of equity in all senses ”.

Marco Gazzotti, coach of Itas Ceccarelli is also satisfied. “Both from a logistical and technical point of view – he explains – it is a solution that equally divides the strongest teams but also the newly promoted ones”. Mondovì (where the Friulian Beatrice Molinaro also plays) and Pinerolo are indicated among the favorites. Gazzotti, however, also shares the Talmassons Board of Directors: “A squadron that, at least on paper, has all the potential to stay on top”. –
