I renew Jovic, Milan’s decision arrives
Il Milan has made a precise decision regarding the future of the Serbian strikerwho arrived last summer from Fiorentina on a free transfer.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport, Furlani assured the former Real Madrid center forward that the option to renew the contract expiring in June 2024 will be activated.

Unlike what was hypothesized in recent weeks, however, the terms of the agreement between the parties will not be discussed again. Milan will activate the current annual renewal option in Jovic’s contract and will extend the marriage to June 30, 2025.
We remind you that in the Serbian striker’s contract there are three annual renewal clauses until 2027. The Rossoneri club is satisfied with the striker’s performance but he is convinced that due to the type of player it is necessary to always keep him on edge to try to secure an agreement for the following season.
The salary will remain the same as the current season, i.e. 2.5 million euros. Jovic’s future is inevitably linked to that of Olivier Giroud. The confirmation of the former Eintracht Frankfurt could definitively distance the French center forward from Milanello three years after his arrival in Italy.
A decision will be made in the coming months but Jovic’s stay at Milanello seems to be practically a given.
However, the future of the French striker remains a very open issue at the Rossoneri. Giroud is tempted by the experience in the American championship (he has already had approaches with a couple of teams) but he is doing very well in Milan, so much so that he can postpone his arrival in MLS for a year.
The final decision will be made in the spring but the terms proposed by Milan are clear: one-year contract at around 2 million euros per season, therefore lower than the current 3.5 million, and role as an alternative in the attack next season.
Pioli recovers Bennacer: the latest
After Saturday’s daring draw against Bologna, Milan is preparing to face Frosinone away on Saturday. As reported by Sky, Pioli can smile about the Algerian’s condition.
After the small muscle injury suffered in the Africa Cup of Nations against Algeria and the three personalized training sessions on the field in the last few days, Ismael Bennacer trained today with the group at Milanello and will be regularly called up for Saturday afternoon’s match between Frosinone and Milan.

Stefano Pioli therefore recovers an important piece in view of a second part of the season which will be decisive for his future with the shadows of Conte and Thiago Motta looming on the horizon.
