Ibra still knocked out, Milan set their sights on Origi

MILAN. Milan are getting closer to Divock Origi, the Belgian forward of Liverpool who will turn 27 next Monday. The Rossoneri club wants to quickly close this negotiation which is now well underway. The last formalities are missing: medical examinations and signature. The Rossoneri club states that the decisive step forward has not yet been made. But everything seems to lead towards this new free transfer, given that Origi’s contract with Liverpool expires on 30 June. The basis of the agreement should be a three-year with option for a fourth season at 3.5 million net per year.

Origi put Milan before other proposals. He has a desire for redemption, given that by now he has very little space with Liverpool after the purchase of Luis Diaz, the latest addition to a stellar department where Salah, Mané, Firmino and Diogo Jota were already present. Milan with Origi find a younger striker than Giroud and Ibrahimovic who inevitably pay duty at age not being able to guarantee a string of close matches in multiple competitions, despite having made a significant contribution in terms of goals scored this year. Ibrahimovic currently intends to play for another season, regardless of the eventual conquest of a trophy between now and the end of May (Milan are still in the running for the Scudetto and the Coppa Italia). It remains to be seen what assessment the Swedish striker will make on his physical condition at the end of a year in which he has missed many games due to injury and has just returned to the pits due to a discomfort in his left knee.
