«I believe that the races should not be repeated twice: only the Swedish Hansson, who started two seconds later, should have done it again. However, I was happy for the opportunity, because I had managed the first final badly. In the second version I learned from mistakes and it got better. On a moral level, however, it was not right for Toussaint: she is more sprinter, she has more difficulty than me to swim twice the 100 ».
What was it like going back to a big event after two years?
“Strange, but at the same time it seemed to me the most normal thing in the world.”
How did you deal with Covid, which hit you in the fall?
«From every situation you have to find the positive side. I didn’t give up for the break, I took the opportunity to rest and concentrate on what makes me feel good: now I’m much more serene, I can train better ».
