Over two hundred runners at the start of the Città di Garlasco Trophy, a classic for sprinters organized by the Cycling Team Garlasco on behalf of the Acsi Pavia committee.

Breathtaking sprint among the supergentlemen with the Piedmontese Marco Borgarelli of Fornasati Auto first by a whisker on Placido Caraci (Zibido San Giacomo), athlete in search of the absolute record for the amateur cycle world: the thousand victories in his career.

In the same race it was Virgino Cristiani of GC Varzi from Pavia who came out on top among the B-band supergentlemen. Among the gehtleman-B was the sixth Luciano Locatelli of Sant’Angelo. Then the race for the youth sector from nineteen to thirty-nine, marked by the clear affirmation of veteran-A Antonio Mostaccioli, Piedmontese from Alba and standard bearer of Bike Pancalieri.

The athletes from Pavia performed well: among the B-veterans Giorgio Raoaccioli (Team Stocchetti) of S. Maria della Versa was fifth overall and second in the category; third in the category and sixth overall in the race Giuseppe Scuderi, veteran of Sannazzaro who wears the Ligurian colors of the Quinto al Mare.

Among the women, Simona Stan of Sant’Angelo was second overall; first among the women-C was Adriana Bagnoli del Varzi from Voghera and second was Rosella Bazzarello of Team Bike Sannazzaro.

On Saturday (April 30) the Giro dell’Oltrepo returns with the Torrazza Coste-Poggio Ferrato stage: the 67-kilometer route includes three laps on the plains and a last part of the valley of 25 –
