Italy is for the first time world champion of men’s under 21 volleyball. After the women’s under 20 world title won in Holland thanks to the Imoco girls, Angiolino Frigoni’s blues won 3-0 over Russia last night in Cagliari. Here too itrevigiano is spoken. In fact, Italy has lined up as owner Paolo Porro, who grew up at Volley Treviso (he lived as a guest of a family in Ponzano and was elected best director of the world championship). Then there is the Federico Crosato plant, from Treviso doc. Together they had won (with Alberto Pol) the under 19 world title in Tunisia more or less with the same group and against the same opponents. Last but not least, the new player from Motta, Leonardo Ferrato, also a setter, who played flashes of matches in the world championship. Russia crashed 3 to 0. –
