Marcell Jacobs flies with the shield. To finalize the preparation for the World Athletics Championships, which will take place in Eugene (Oregon, United States) from 15 July, the Olympic champion of the 100 meters and 4×100 relay has returned to training with the “aerodynamic shield” created by the Coni Institute of Sports Science.
For Jacobs repeated sessions on 100 meters at the “Salvo D’Acquisto” Carabinieri barracks in Tor di Quinto, Rome. The Aerodynamic Shield is a device already tested by the blues of athletics: it is used for tests with the aim of developing speed. A cart pulled by a car allows athletes to run by reducing the resistance opposed by the air to advancement.
