The transfer of Jean Kindermans from RSC Anderlecht to Royal Antwerp FC is a fact. The 59-year-old Kindermans will become CEO of Youth at the Bosuil until the 2028-2029 season.
It had been known for some time that Kindermans would leave Anderlecht and work for Antwerp. He still had to give notice to the Purple & White. He has already attended many (youth) matches of RAFC, for example the three home games of Antwerp in the Youth League at the Lisp. Two weeks ago he emptied his desk at the record champion and now he is working at the reigning champion.
“As the person ultimately responsible, supported by Head of Training Steven Smet, he will form the bridge within our club between the youth department and management,” the club announced on Tuesday.
Kindermans has a Pro License diploma and used to play as a professional football player for Lierse and Cappellen, among others.
Further professionalization
“The arrival of Jean Kindermans is the next step in the professionalization of RAFC. Kindermans made a name for himself as head of the youth academy at RSC Anderlecht. In this way he formed Romelu Lukaku, Youri Tielemans, Jérémy Doku and many other boys who play in various national teams today,” says the Great Old. “Kindermans will take the time in the coming months to get to know the club, its employees and operations and will communicate at appropriate times.”
