Peruvian National Team Coach Plans Detailed Monitoring of International Tournaments

Jorge Fossati, the coach of the Peruvian national team, has unveiled his detailed plan to closely monitor the performance of teams participating in international tournaments. Fossati, who recently assumed leadership of the Peruvian team for the Copa América and the rest of the Qualifiers, has emphasized the importance of the work being done in League 1 and has highlighted the need to pay attention to the performance of the eight teams that will compete in international tournaments such as the Copa Libertadores and Sudamericana in 2024.

The teams that Fossati will be closely monitoring include Universitario de Deportes, Alianza Lima, Sporting Cristal, FBC Melgar, Sport Huancayo, ADT, Deportivo Garcilaso, and César Vallejo. The coach believes that it is crucial for the national squads to compete in the Copa Libertadores and the Sudamericana, and he has already planned exhaustive monitoring to improve their performance levels.

In addition to monitoring the domestic teams, Fossati is also keeping a close watch on Peruvian players who are competing in foreign leagues. He is particularly concerned about Piero Quispe, who is set to debut with Pumas de México. Furthermore, Fossati is following the situation of Paolo Guerrero, who is yet to find a team after his stint with LDU de Quito, and he is also awaiting the recovery of Gianluca Lapadula.

Fossati’s first order of business as the coach of the Peruvian team will be to engage with players of the Liga 1 who are based in provincial clubs. The aim is to establish a strong Bicolor base that allows for flexibility in player selection. This proactive approach demonstrates Fossati’s commitment to thorough preparation and strategic planning for the national team.
