At Juventus, an open topic is that relating to the future of Max Allegriwhose contract expires in June 2025. Giuntoli is pushing for the renewal but the coach continues to postpone the appointment.
As reported by Sport Mediasetdespite the remaining contract year, it is clear and evident that Juve has no intention of starting next season with the Livorno coach out of contract.
The excellent results achieved so far this seasonwith second place in the championship ahead of a Milan that seemed decidedly better equipped and the semi-final of the Italian Cup, a competition in which the Bianconeri are favourites, pushed Giuntoli to submit to the former Cagliari the renewal until at least 2026 with an option for 2027 at a reduced salary compared to the current 9 million euros net, bonuses included.
The former DS of Napoli he put 4.5 million euros on the table, a figure that could also convince Allegri to renew the agreement. However, the feeling is that the continuation of the marriage may depend on other aspects.
Allegri could in fact decide, three years after returning to the Juventus bench, to abandon Continassa for the second time, especially with Champions League qualification in his pocket and perhaps a new trophy, the Italian Cup, to add to the 11 already won in the previous cycle in Turin.
Giuntoli’s first idea is therefore to continue with Allegri but if this is not possible there are currently two alternatives: one leads straight to Thiago Motta, the current Bologna coach who is a revelation in Serie A, the other to the sensational suggestion linked to the return of Antonio Conte.
The decision will be made in the spring: Juve, regardless of how this season goes, wants to lay solid foundations for the future.
