A1 series lens. The Pavese Gymnastics for the third consecutive year will be at the start of the A2 series of women’s artistic with the intention of climbing into the higher category.
«After having touched the promotion twice – President Lorenzo Lanza does not hide the ambitions – we will try again. It won’t be easy, but we have a group of young and promising girls ». The coach Monica Vullo underlines: «The girls are technically very grown, even if it will be a demanding season, also because the newly promoted to A2 are all competitive teams. We expect the girls to be able to give their best to the end ».
In two weeks the junior and senior individual tests start, which precede the A2 championship which will start in February and end in June 2022. A test is scheduled every month.
Arianna dreams of the Olympics
The hopes of the club in via Luigi Porta are also supported by the technical growth of the girls, also recognized by the federation, so much so that the fourteen-year-old Arianna Grillo has been admitted to be part of the “Road to Olympic” project. “I have been attending the technical center of artistic gymnastics in Milan for six years, even if only a few days ago I became part of the Federginery project that aims to create gymnasts for the Olympics, which are my dream – explains Arianna – I started to practice art at the age of 4 and I immediately fell in love with it. The exercises that I like the most are bodyweight and vaulting because they have fun, they allow me to express myself to the fullest. In Pavia in the Pavese I have my friends with whom we team up to aim for promotion to A1 ». The 17-year-old Ludovica Wernitznig is also present at the Academy: «I prefer parallels. In the Pavese I am wonderful ». The Pavese Gymnastics team is made up of Ludovica Canetti, Sara Consolino, Anita and Ines Del Bo, Arianna Grillo, Lavinia Pasanisi, Vittoria Rocca, Marta Sali, Sofia Verri and Ludovica Wernitznig with the coaches Giorgia Pirelli and Monica Vullo. «I was born and raised in the Pavese – explains the 17 year old Ines Del Bo – our pride has been to climb up to the A2 with three consecutive promotions. Now the goal is A1, after we have made the promotion play-offs twice. My favorite tool is the beam ». The 16-year-old Vittoria Rocca closes: «I also prefer the beam. And apart from a few injuries, I followed the whole process up to the A2, which made with Pavese is a great satisfaction ». –
