Lars Ricken becomes managing director at BVB: a completely new power structure

A fairly old and fairly well-proven functional mechanism of the Borussia Dortmund football club is to find new managers either somewhere within its own structures or in its own past. That was the case with the promotion of Edin Terzic to head coach, with the hiring of sports directors Michael Zorc and Sebastian Kehl, with the engagement of assistant coaches Sven Bender and Nuri Sahin and in a number of other cases.
