The national selection Under 18 LND was beaten by Roma in the last challenge. “Wonderful experience and thanks to Mr. Giannichedda, a great person”

Roma beat the Under 18 representative of the National Amateur League by 2-0 in the Lazio cup final.

But the adventure of the Amateur selection ends with applause, which found two of its strong points in Belluno’s Manuele De Min and Marco Piazza. Also yesterday morning, in the final of the thirteenth edition of the tournament, in Villalba di Guidonia, the two midfielders, respectively in Montebelluna and Dolomiti Bellunesi, were deployed from the first minute.

The coach Giannichedda has in fact chosen to propose them again in the initial 4-3-3 made up of Semprini, Raucci, Lucentini, Puzone, Quilici, Piazza, De Min, Bonassi, Dejaco, Ghiani and Borghesan. If Piazza remained on the pitch until the triple whistle, De Min gave way to Bastita during the interval. Both confirmed themselves as fundamental pillars for the NLD selection, so much so that they played all four decisive games of the tournament as owners (they did not start in the starting eleven only in the challenge against the Canadian representative, with qualification already obtained).

The final was decided by two goals scored by Pisilli in the 5 ‘of the first half and by Padula halfway through the second half. The people of Belluno still return home with a smile.

«First of all», Manuele De Min underlines at the end of the experience in Lazio, «I have to thank the coach and all the staff very much, who were available every day for everything, 24 hours a day. I spend a few words for Mr. Giannichedda, who helped me a lot and motivated me to do well, not only in this tournament, but throughout the football year. Before being a coach, he is a very humble and always helpful person. Then I thank my teammates: in these few days we have established a special relationship with everyone ».

After the victories against Benevento, Crotone, Canada and Salernitana, yesterday the first and only defeat came.

«We knew that the final would be a very tough match», De Min admits, «and we had to think about doing well. We did, in fact we went out with our heads held high. Roma have been perfect and very concrete in those few occasions that we have given them. All my compliments to them. This fantastic experience is over and I will do everything to be there in the next meeting ».

The midfielder of the Dolomiti Bellunesi Marco Piazza echoes him.

«The final was a match in which we suffered because our opponents were still a great team. But I think ours was the best performance in terms of play. The experience of these days has been very nice especially with the passing of the days where the group has become more united. I thank the coaches and the staff who were always ready for any of our problems, but above all the teammates who gave everything to try to win the tournament ». –
