LeBron James Closing in on 40,000 Career Points in Historic NBA Career
LeBron James is on the verge of achieving yet another milestone in his illustrious NBA career, as he is now just 9 points away from reaching the 40,000 point mark.
The Los Angeles Lakers star had a solid start in a recent game, finishing the first half with 15 points. In the second half, he added 12 more points and eventually totaled 31 points for the night, with the game going into overtime at the Crypto.com Arena.
This is not the first time LeBron has put up big numbers against the Washington Wizards. In a game back in November 2017, he scored 57 points against them, which remains the second-highest scoring game of his career.
During a recent matchup against the LA Clippers, LeBron scored 34 points, with 19 of them coming in the final quarter. His performance helped lead the Lakers to a 21-point comeback victory over their city rivals.
The next opportunity for LeBron to reach and exceed the 40,000 point mark will come on Saturday when the Lakers face off against the defending champions, the Denver Nuggets. It seems inevitable that LeBron will add yet another impressive feat to his already legendary career in the NBA.
