The 2024 Li Ning Chen Long Badminton Singles Open kicks off in Jingzhou
Wuhan, April 13th – The 2024 Li Ning Chen Long Badminton Singles Open was officially launched at the Jingzhou Culture and Sports Center Gymnasium in Hubei Province. More than 1,000 badminton enthusiasts gathered to participate in the event.
This competition in Jingzhou marks the first stop of the 2024 Li-Ning Chenlong Badminton Singles Open, which will be held in various cities across China including Nanning, Nanjing, Wuhan, Beijing, Changchun, Fuzhou, Xi’an, and Kunming. The event features two main groups, the youth group and adult group, with age-specific categories aimed at promoting both competition and fitness.
Jingzhou holds a special significance as it is the birthplace of Olympic badminton champion Chen Long. With a deep connection to the sport, Chen Long expressed his hopes for the tournament to inspire more people to embrace badminton and foster a love for the game.
Organized by Li-Ning (China) Sporting Goods Co., Ltd., the Li-Ning Chenlong Badminton Singles Open has been designated as a China Badminton Association National Fitness Points Competition. Participants have the opportunity to earn competition points based on their performance, providing a unique experience similar to that of professional athletes.
