Libertas Livorno-Faenza, Race 1 and 2: playoffs, what a passion!

Game 1. The play offs to access the A2 series begin, Libertas hosts Faenza in the first match, the team that wins three out of five games will advance. The Palamacchia sees an increase in its capacity which will be brought to three thousand units and given the numerous requests for tickets, it is the so-called manna from heaven, in fact the additional dose of tickets is literally selling like hot cakes with the stadium being an infernal bedlam already in the pre-match.

The fans from Faenza also arrive well in advance, a compact and noisy entry, rather theatrical but given the certainly not exaggerated dimensions of the building, all this fits and is also legitimate. They occupy a corner of the curve, appropriately distanced from the rest of the public and rigidly monitored by stewards and law enforcement, the tension fades when it is understood that the two groups of fans will think, rightly, of each cheering for their own colours.

And if we want to talk about colours, undoubtedly the view of the stadium this evening is one of those that can and must make the difference, the Stragglers they do everything they can to color the sector and load up a team that, without a shadow of a doubt, is seriously thinking about moving up the category, then the facts will decide success or not.

Also this evening the hosts offer a great choreography, white and amaranth cards with a nice flag with the group’s symbols in the center of the curve, all surmounted by the banner “Let’s take back history”. The effect was beautiful, the outcome was excellent, there were zero imperfections, we can say that this evening too the aim of surprising was achieved. Even on a vocal level it was a thumbs up evening, the coordination between the choir casters was excellent, so the support was always very incisive, the moments of pause were quite limited and strong with an always positive result on the parquet, even the cheering traveled on the wings of enthusiasm, often managing to involve all sectors. Nice performance by the Stragglerswarmth and color at the highest levels and an evening to put in the scrapbook.

Even the guests did not demerit, it was cheering on and off, the breaks in this case were more frequent and a little longer but after all the numbers make the difference and not even a little. But the support was there and it wasn’t even low level, the cheering instruments were all visible, a drum, a megaphone and then lots of color with flags and scarves that offered a further dose of visibility. With the team always chasing an opponent who appeared superior at least in this match, the difficulties in cheering were not few but it must be said, to the further credit of those present, that their cheering lasted until the end of the match, despite the defeat suffered , the team was supported and applauded even at the end.

After two days, the meeting was repeated. Playing within the friendly walls is once again Libertas who, for the third match, will then necessarily have to show up in Faenza. The first set belongs to the Amaranths but the road is still long.

It is played on a Monday evening, the day is not exactly ideal for following your team away and although the distance between Faenza and Livorno is not sidereal, a sharp drop in numbers among the guests is to be expected. No surprise in this sense, around twenty fans come from Faenza, a sufficient number all things considered. The arena, for a change, is sold out, the play-offs are an event that not even the most calm and calm of fans want to miss, which is why tickets are selling like hotcakes and outside the gates there are those who try to get them the precious ticket until the last moment.

The hosts who are confirmed in excellent form, once again show off a very respectable singing performance, the support starts with great fanfare from the first moments of the match and continues without too many hitches until the final stages. The support of the entire team was beautiful and engaging and, on more than one occasion, it rallied the entire stadium: the result is one to note, with everyone present standing to support the amaranth team. The match is tense, the teams are point to point, even if it is the guests who make the winning attack but in the stands the Curva Nord does its duty fully, managing to involve large sections of the stadium.

Guests who, despite the small number, make themselves heard, also do not disappoint and try to support the team, in the end they can affirm that they have carried out their task in full. A couple of flags, a drum, a lot of voice and in the end the prize was a hard-fought victory and therefore even more beautiful. Now the match is in perfect parity but the next two matches will be played in Faenza, the eventual “good” match will be played in Livorno. The marathon is just beginning.
