On March 29, Beijing time, Blazers star Lillard talked about his views on Westbrook’s situation this season during a recent guest show on “Club Shay Shay”.
The Lakers completed a blockbuster deal with the Wizards in the offseason last year and formed the Big Three to challenge the championship. However, the Lakers have been extremely bumpy this season and are currently only tenth in the Western Conference. Since the season, Westbrook has also been criticized and questioned a lot.
Lillard also offered his own advice to Westbrook, saying, “Face it all. There’s always going to be criticism, especially when you’re playing for the biggest market. So, no matter what the question is, even if you I think it’s a stupid question, just face it.”
“What Westbrook has accomplished throughout his career is undeniable, that’s the bottom line. His career, what he’s accomplished, what he’s done, no one else has done. I don’t care what people say, what the stats are. Yeah, if I want to get a triple-double every game all season, I really can’t do it, and neither can a lot of other people,” Lillard said.
