Lingua, world record in weight lifting

A world record in weight lifting for the hammerist Marco Lingua. The forty-three year old mazzediese achieved this important milestone last Sunday, at the Pala eventi in Tonengo di Mazzè during the powerlifting test, a sport in which every athlete must lift the maximum possible weight in three exercises, the squat, the bench press and the deadlift. Tongue that managed to lift 340 kg in the 105-125 kg category. A record also certified by the Wdfpf Federation, the World Drug-Free Powerlifting Federation, as Lingua explained: «I am very happy to have achieved this important goal – says Lingua -. Last Sunday at the Palaeventi in Tonengo di Mazzè we were about thirty athletes, each divided according to their category, who gave their maximum commitment and concentration. It takes a lot of training to be able to reach this goal – continues Lingua – having made the record where I live, in Mazzè, fills me with pride ». –
