Live the Wimbledon final, Berrettini is already in history: now under with Djokovic

by admin

LONDON. The final on the central court of the All England Club of Wimbledon between Matteo Berrettini and Novak Djokovic, number one in the world, began shortly after 3 pm. The initial balance is broken in the fourth game with the break of the servant who goes to 3-1 and then keeps the service at zero: the partial score is 4-1 in the first set. The Italian keeps the service and goes 4-2. No problem for Nole, he is 5-2. Berrettini beats to stay in the set.

Live TV on Sky Sport and free-to-air on Tv8. The Roman, the first Italian to reach the final of the prestigious English tournament on grass, warmed up in the late morning for about 45 minutes with Paolo Lorenzi, world number 165 and voice of Sky Sport. The blue opponent instead trained with his coach, the Croatian Goran Ivanisevic, old glory of world tennis. It is also the first time that a woman has refereed the Wimbledon final, the Croatian Marija Cicak, who has already directed matches in the last fifteen editions of Wimbledon and in three Olympics.

On the field where traditions have counted more than any other tennis facility since 1877, it is difficult, however, to find a first time for Djokovic, on the pitch for his thirtieth final in a slam tournament. Should he win, he would reach Federer and Nadal at twenty titles and would go to the US Open with two goals: to overcome them (thus becoming the most titled in tennis history of all time) and to ring the four most important crowns in the same year, a feat that fails to anyone for more than half a century.
