First day of the return round and first match of 2024 for Serie D, at the stadium XXI September – Franco Salernoon a Sunday afternoon with a typically winter climate, in front of around a thousand spectators, Matera hosts Fasano.
During the first half, good support from the home Curva Sud: the boys, compact on the steps, supported their favorites well on the pitch, to push them towards the final victory. The choirs are quite powerful and well paced, the clapping is also successful, capable of providing a nice sight, while the chromatic effect is guaranteed by some flags waved continuously; the celebration at the opening goal was beautiful, with the scorer immediately running to celebrate under the sector, while there was no shortage of chants against the rossoblù rivals Potenza.
The support in the second half of the match was well made, like that of the first half, also characterized by long handclaps, punctuated by the drum, and two beautiful torches, capable of offering an excellent chromatic impact.
About eighty fans arrive from Fasano, settle down behind their patches in the center of the away section, a few minutes before the kick-off, and immediately begin to cheer, making a scarf as the teams enter the pitch. They are the authors of a good cheer for the whole ninety minutes, continuing to cheer even when their team goes behind, they color the sector with flags and some “two poles” and the chants are accompanied by the drum.
During the match, the Fasano players display two banners: one in the first half to remember Mimmo Pucciarini, founder ofRed Army Perugia, who passed away recently, while the other in the second half is for the forty years of the Desperados Empoli.
On the pitch, the hosts narrowly beat Fasano, achieving a victory which, in addition to adding three points to the standings, brings smiles back to Matera, after the two consecutive defeats suffered at the end of the first round; at the end of the match both teams go to greet their respective fans: the Lucanians to celebrate the victory they have just won, while the Apulians to thank the fans following for the support offered.
